Info sull'evento
Delivered as part of The World Algorithm: Knowledge and Power in the New Global Order symposium at Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia, this invited lecture was based on the paper The Algorithm as Police of the Possible: Pre-emptive Subjectivity and Authoritarian Desire in the Age of AI Monopolies. Drawing on political philosophy and critical theory, it examined the emergence of algorithmic governance as a pre-emptive form of political power: one that increasingly structures what can be seen, decided, and contested in contemporary institutional life. The lecture addressed the implications of this shift for subjectivity, legitimacy, and democratic agency under conditions of speed, insecurity, and technological concentration.
